Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia


The Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbo-Croat and Macedonian (Cyrillic only): Socijalistička Federativna Republika Jugoslavija or Социјалистичка Федеративна Република Југославија, Slovene: Socialistična Federativna Republika Jugoslavija) was the Yugoslav state that existed from the end of World War II (1945) until it disintegrated in the Yugoslav wars of the 1990s. It was a socialist state that comprised the area of the present-day independent states of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia.
